This care is designed to meet the needs of both the child and the parents while emphasizing a safe and caring environment for the children to grow and learn.
Graham Crisis Center, Inc., a non-profit organization located in Graham, Young County Texas, is for the purpose of assisting families and individuals in crisis so that they can become independent and self-sufficient. Our mission is to provide the basic needs, both physical and emotional. We offer shelter, food, counseling, life-coaching, and benevolence so the families and individuals can start building a good foundation to thrive.
Backpack Buddies is a program that ensures no child goes hungry over the weekend or during the holidays. They serve the children of Graham Independent School District.
Provides hot meals to elderly shut-ins in the community. The majority of these meals are provided free of charge and those with the financial ability pay for their meals. The main objective of this program is to make sure these shut-ins receive a nutritious meal when one would not be otherwise possible.
Serves as a community focal point for services to seniors age 60 and over. We provide a nutritious meal to both the home bound and to those who come to the center in a congregate setting. We provide transportation as needed for independent living. We make daily contact with the more frail elderly. Special objective is to help seniors remain active and aware of their community, while remaining productive citizens as long as possible.
Virginia’s House has become an umbrella organization that contains four individual child-focused programs which include: Children’s Advocacy Center, CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocate, Mentor/Prevention Programs, and Crime Victims Assistance.
Teaches life skills and provides useful and practical information relating to agriculture, family and consumer sciences, and other basic skills through each of its many project areas. 4-H offers participants opportunities to develop leadership, perform community service and strengthen the family unit by encouraging youth and adults to work together.
